Flu Vaccination Programme

We will contact patients directly as soon as the clinics have been finalised, so please do not contact the surgery with any requests about flu vaccinations until then.

BBC News

Blood Test Supplies

The NHS has been advised of a global shortage of some equipment used for taking blood tests.
This shortage of bottles for blood tests has an impact throughout the country.
This has meant that we must follow national guidance and can only perform the most urgent and emergency blood tests at this present time.
As a result, it has meant some routine blood tests will be postponed in order to help ensure that we have enough blood bottles available for those in most urgent need.
We understand that this may well cause you some anxiety and uncertainty, and we are sorry for that, but decisions are being based on clinical priorities and need.
Given the nature of the shortage, we cannot give an exact date for when the test will be rescheduled, but please be assured that if your condition or symptoms require it, then you will get a test, and we will be doing everything we can to re-book your test when supplies become more easily available.
Thank you for your patience and bearing with us.

Virtual Patient Participation Group (PPG)

We want to ensure that our patients are involved in the decisions made by the Practice surrounding the range and quality of the services available to you.

We invite all of our patients to join our virtual PPG. The PPG is there to advise the Practice on patients’ views regarding the development of the Practice and allow the Practice to consider patients views when reviewing and expanding services.

If you would like to join our VPPG , please contact reception for further information

From time to time we will email you with a question or a survey which we would very much like your opinion on.

If at anytime you no longer want to be part of the Virtual PPG, simply contact us and you will be removed from our contacts list.

We very much look forward to hearing your views and opinions.

Sharing your confidential information

 COVID vaccinations administered abroad

Important information to communicate to patients

If you had both or one of your vaccinations in another country it will NOT show on the NHSapp

We are unable to rectify this problem at practice level at present. You can make us aware of the vaccinations you have had, and we can add these to your medical record, but this will not update the NHSapp. We cannot do anything about this until further guidance is issued by the NHS vaccination service.

Patients are likely to be stopped from travelling if both of their vaccinations do not show on NHSapp.

Printed medical records, except for those requested via the 119 COVID service, will not be accepted for travel. If you were vaccinated abroad and we have updated your medical records, with the detail of your vaccination, we can print proof of your vaccination, but this is not accepted as proof for foreign travel.
